Privacy & Cookies Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-02
1. Overview
SaveOnShip provides China-to-global logistics company lookup, route reference data, member access, ranking pages, and structured inquiry tools. This policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how cookies support the service, and how to contact us about privacy questions.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including:
- Account information such as name, email address, password credentials handled by the authentication system, and account preferences
- Inquiry details such as cargo type, weight, volume, origin city, preferred transport mode, timing, notes, contact name, and contact information
- Membership, payment, subscription, credit, and invoice records processed by third-party payment providers
- Support, privacy, correction, deletion, or account requests you send through the website or public contact email
We may also collect technical information generated when you use the service, including:
- Viewed routes, search filters, ranking pages, feature interactions, and similar usage events
- Request metadata such as IP address, forwarded-for headers, browser user-agent, request time, and security-related headers
- Authentication/session status and preference signals needed to keep the site working
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide route lookup, company profile, membership, billing, and inquiry features
- Process payments, subscriptions, credits, invoices, and account access
- Review logistics inquiries manually before any quote follow-up
- Improve logistics data quality, search relevance, product reliability, and abuse prevention
- Respond to support, quote, privacy, correction, deletion, and account requests
- Maintain security, auditability, fraud prevention, and operational troubleshooting
4. Logistics Data and Inquiries
Inquiry information may be reviewed manually so that a logistics requirement can be understood before any follow-up. Reference prices, price bands, route notes, and transit times shown on the website are informational signals only and are not binding freight quotes.
When you submit an inquiry, SaveOnShip may include server-detected request context such as IP address, forwarded-for chain, and browser user-agent in the operator notification email. This context is used for security, abuse prevention, support, and inquiry review. It is not collected through a visible form field, and this task does not use a third-party IP geolocation service.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
SaveOnShip uses cookies and local browser storage for service operation and preferences. Current uses include:
- Authentication and session cookies that keep signed-in users connected
- Security cookies or tokens used by the authentication system
- Preference storage for theme, locale, and lightweight interface choices
- A local dismissal value for the essential-cookie notice
These cookies and local storage values are used to provide the service and remember preferences. SaveOnShip does not currently use advertising cookies or non-essential marketing trackers. If analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies are introduced later, this policy and the consent experience should be updated before those tools are enabled.
6. Email, Payment, and Service Providers
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, payments, billing, email delivery, storage, security, analytics if later enabled, or manual quote handling.
Inquiry notifications and account emails may be sent through configured email providers such as Resend. Payment and subscription records may be handled by configured payment providers. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their service to SaveOnShip.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and logistics route information may still require manual verification before commercial use.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by using account settings where available or by contacting SaveOnShip through the Contact page.
Some cookies are necessary for authentication, security, and service delivery. You can control many browser-level cookie and storage settings in your browser, but disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in, preferences, or protected pages from working correctly.
9. Contact
For privacy questions, cookie questions, or personal-data requests, contact SaveOnShip through the Contact page on the website.
